Islamic Arts Biennale
A modular sonic identity for the 2025 Islamic Arts Biennale in Jeddah: one rising and falling scale on oud, qanun and cello that became the region's first sonic branding Clio.

Draft. Chris to approve or rewrite.
The brief came through .Pomelo for the Diriyah Biennale Foundation: give the second Islamic Arts Biennale a sound that could live in a vast terminal building, on film, in a lift and in a ninety-second trailer without ever sounding like a jingle.
Joe led the composition. The system is a single idea, a scale that descends and ascends, that we built into a family of themes, variations and sonic logo treatments. We recorded it with live oud, qanun and cello at Livingston Studio 1 in London, and the piece became “And All That Is In Between”.
It took Bronze in Sonic Branding at the 2026 Clio Music Awards in a year the jury gave no Golds, was named a Winner at the International Sound Awards 2025, and won Gold for Best Audio Brand at the 2026 Transform Awards MEA.
